Toshiba TG01 Weiss o2 Review

Also ich kann das Toshiba TG01 nun seit 2 Wochen mein Eigen nennen, und muss sagen ich bin einfach nur begeistert.
Nicht nur dass das Gerät einen 1Ghz Snapdragon Prozessor besitzt, der Windows Mobile erst richtig darstellen kann, es beinhaltet außerdem noch einen 600Mhz starken ATI GPU!
Bei den üblichen Geräten (HTC Touch Diamond (mein vorheriges Gerät), HTC Touch HD, XPeria X1, etc.) ist immer ein gewisses Ruckeln beim Scrollen vorhanden und die Bedienung ist abundzu doch etwas arg hakelig. Für Toshibas neuestes Gerät ist das alles kein Problem mehr. Die Icons fliegen nur so über den Bildschirm.
Das Gerät ist verhältnismäßig groß, was aber beabsichtigt ist, um den bei WM-Geräten obligatorischen Stift endlich zu verabschieden. Alles ist groß genug um das Gerät bequem mit dem Finger bedienen zu können, selbst wenn man tief in Windows Mobile vordringt und nicht nur das User Interface bedient. Für Notfälle ist aber dennoch ein Stift beigelegt, den man an den Schlüsselbund machen kann.
Da der PDA sehr flach ist, habe ich keinerlei Probleme es in die Hosentasche zu bekommen. Es fühlt sich keinesfalls so an als trage man einen Stein mit sich herum. Im Gegenteil, ich bemerke es nicht einmal wirklich.
Meinem Vorredner kann ich mich überhaupt nicht anschließen, der behauptet, dass das Gerät mit der Plastikverschalung billig und labil wirken würde.
Das teil sieht wirklich Schick und elegant aus und es wirkt auch sehr wertig in der Hand.

Nun kommen wir zu der Software:
Auf dem Gerät ist WM 6.1 installiert, welches aber bei Erscheinung des Nachfolgers WM 6.5 durch diesen abgelöst wird. Für Besitzer des TG01 wird das Upgrade kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt.
Das Toshiba Stripes UI ist meiner Meinung nach nicht so der Hit. Aber genau das ist ja der riesengroße Vorteil an WM! Man kann einfach alles verändern. Wenn irgendwas nicht passt, wird es passend gemacht. Ich habe mir SPB Mobile Shell 3 installiert und der PDA läuft wunderbar damit.

Es sind zwar hier und da noch kleine Bugs vorhanden, die die Stabilität selten beeinträchtigen, diese werden jedoch mit einem Softwareupdate behoben sein.

Kontakt nach außen stellt das Gerät über einen MicroUSB Slot her, über welchen auch Desktop-Mäuse, Tastaturen und sogar Gamepads angeschlossen werden können. Ein Adapter auf 3,5 Klinke liegt auch bei. So kann man auch mit den eigenen Kopfhörern seine Musik genießen oder freisprechen (da das Mikro im Adapter ist).

Mein Fazit:
Das Gerät ist der Absolute Hammer!
Allerdings nur für erfahrenere User zu empfehlen, da man sich das TG01 erst "passend machen" muss.
Ich will kein anderes Handy mehr :)
